SALARY: State Salary Schedule (20 hours a week)

REPORTS TO: Principal

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:     

To provide instructional support to K-4 students in literacy and/or math by working one-on-one or in small groups. 

REQUIREMENTS:                    

• Current North Carolina Teacher Licensure
• Minimum of 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong collaboration skills
• Strong instructional skills inclusive of oral and written communication

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Assist teacher with the collection of data and analysis of data results
• Collaborate with the grade-level team and/or teacher to plan instruction that correlates with the individual student’s needs
• Facilitate instruction using a variety of instructional methods and materials.
• Differentiate instruction based on individual student needs
• Use a variety of methods to assess what students have learned
• Follow a daily structured academic structure
